Harrison

Dylan and I did the walking, Harrison got to lie back in his pushchair and just enjoy the ride.

Also our first full day at home, after our first (very broken) night. He wasn’t too bad but I am sure that I need more sleep than I actually got.
It’s hard trying to get him dressed as all the lovely new born size clothing that we have is just a touch too big for our little guy. And we have problems with his hats. We are trying to keep him nice and warm but all his hats are too big and they have a tendency to slip down over his eyes. Harrison strongly objects to this so we shall have to go on the hunt for little hats for him.
But, as everyone says, he’ll get bigger very quickly.

Well this is my first Harrison update. We came home from hospital today.
Harrison had his first public outing at the supermarket and we were only asked 3 times how old he was. Once by a very alternative looking guy, which was a bit surprising.
Yay, no more hospital food, no more tube in my arm and plenty of special new mummy time to spend with Harry.

Harrison is currently watching Daddy do kitchen stuff from the comfort of his bouncer chair thingy, which he seems to really like.

Thankyou to everyone who has helped us over the last 8 months.

I have posted even more photos and created a new gallery which will be where all the new photos will go for the next little while, until Harrison reaches a new milestone perhaps…

Melanie and I successfully (more or less) changed Harrison’s nappy, clothing and wrapping today, without help - we haven’t quite mastered it like the midwives yet, but we’re not doing too bad - aside from a little peeing incident, it went off almost without a hitch.

Harrison received a number of visitors today also, all of whom seemed to agree he was cuter in person than in the photos (a far cry from models and the like).

Mother and baby are resting well in hospital, and I am resting at home.

Harrison Reeve was born at 17:24 on April 22nd 2005 NZST, weighing 2.775kg after a roughly 10 hour labour. He is gorgeous!

Argh. 2.775kg for the record.
