Harrison’s Big Night Out

Sunday, June 12th, 2005

Well we went out for dinner last night, a group of 15, to the Mexican Cafe - not exactly the quietest place on Earth.
So Harrison did his usual thing and slept. But he did sleep with maximum cuteness and woke up just in time to show lovely smiles to everyone. As far as I can tell this is all part of his plan to make people want babies. It’s all a big plot worked up by babies so that the world will be overrun with the evil creatures. Or something like that.
Also last Monday we went tenpin bowling.
And Harrison slept.

He is now weighing in at 4.3 kg (about 9 and a half pounds) and is 52cm long/tall.

Harrison reaches 6 weeks

6 weeks old today!
We are pretty excited that we haven’t broken him yet. Obviously we must be doing something right.
Harrison is now about 4kg (approx 8.8 pounds for you older people) and has outgrown his prem clothes - he is now into the newborn sizes.

Yesterday we went to the doctor because we were a little worried about how unsettled he has been the last few days. We were also worried by the amount of farting that was coming out of such a little guy - I would like to blame his father for that sort of thing but anyone who knows the Baileys will probably disagree. Anyway with Reeve and Bailey genes combined he doesn’t really stand a chance.
So the doctor did his 6 week checkup and he is fine and perfect in every way. We have stuff for his gassiness so hopefully that will soon pass. And Harrison got his 6 week vaccinations. I wasn’t in the room at the time due to needle phobia and also in the hope that if hes going to associate people with pain then it can be Dylan and not me.
My poor little guy cried. Loudly. But then he stopped and was his usual angelic self.

So everything is fine in our little world.
It is Dylan’s birthday next week so Harrison will be getting his first restaurant outing. I imagine he will sleep through the whole thing as he has a habit of doing that.
