Three Months Down

Saturday, July 30th, 2005

Harrison turn three-months old about a week ago (July 22nd) - it’s seems incredible, that is a quarter of a year.

With turning three-months comes a bad thing however - three-month jabs. That happened yesterday, and as with his first set of shots, he didn’t really enjoy the needle experience. This time he cried longer and louder than the last (a benefit of his increased use of his vocal chords?).

However, more than 24 hours later, and he seems to have forgiven me entirely for holding him down while the nurse tortured him with three injections. In fact, he had more or less forgiven me about three minutes later, but he wasn’t happy at that point.

Harrison is now a very vocal little man, who engages in conversations with us, although not yet in any specific language. Still no first identifiable word, but he’s certainly trying to get his mouth around some pretty complex noises. He’ll be babbling away in no time, I’m sure.

Also, I’ve uploaded a few new photos.

Our chubby bubby

We had a visit from Plunket on Wednesday, Harrison is now 5.46kg and 58cm long/tall.
And he’s into 000 clothing, which is a lot easier to find. He’s smiling a lot, has started sleeping right through to 4 or 5am and he’s talking to us. Well, okay, Plunket calls it cooing but we know he’s talking. Now if we could just figure out what he’s saying!
We also had our first train journey on Saturday. We went to Newmarket and did some shopping. Harrison was his usual angelic self all day.
And we are looking forward to Aunty Em coming and staying with us this week!

He’s so lovely

So nothing much to report. Our lovely chubby bubby continues to do well. He is nearing 5kg now and smiles and “talks” to us a lot.
I have put aside some clothes that he has grown out of and will keep these so I can embarrass him at a much later date.
I can’t believe he has actually grown out of clothes. I imagine this is a continuing trend.
