Grumpy little man

Friday, September 23rd, 2005

At present we have one of these. Harrison has a tummy bug, I also appear to have one.
Harrison is not at all happy about being unwell and is very grizzly. But that is understandable.
He is also teething - so that doesn’t help! We bought some baby food and some rusks for him - but haven’t givn him any food yet as he is too grumpy. He does appear to be getting better though - a little more smiley than yesterday.
I, on the other hand, am just really, really tired.

More Photos!

I uploaded another 35 or so photos just the other day - now there is even more Harrison action shots to browse. Including all new Jolly Jumper fun, some “mummy’s blowing on my face”, and a few tummy time photos.

It’s all Harrison all the time here!

The Harrison of being

He just keeps growing!!! Who knew?
We had a very early morning appointment with a surgeon at Starship this morning (re Harrison’s “boy bits”) however Mr Ferguson believes that everything is fine for now and we are to come back in a year when my poor little guy will probably need surgery. However Mr Ferguson also told us that it is nothing to worry about. So I’ll try not to.
We have booked in for a “trial” swimming lesson for the 25th of September. I like the idea of Harrison learning to swim quite early and he likes being in the water so, well, we’ll see how things go.

4 months (and now with added counting)

Harrison continues to grow. He is also becoming more and more active, which makes for a wee bit of stress for me. But thats fine.
We have been very busy the past few weeks!
We had our first “mother’s group” which was good. It also turns out that Harrison was not the biggest baby. Yay! But I think he has the biggest head. I blame the Reeve genes for that.
Harrison also had his first swim at Waiwera (for his Auntie Em’s 13th birthday.) He took to that like a baby to water. Kicked his little legs and seemed a little puzzled as to why we were in an enormous bath and why Mummy was with him. But he really did seem to like it and there are photos to look at.
Harrison and I went up to Whangarei for the weekend (just gone) for Auntie Jessamine’s birthday. And he now has a jolly jumper, which he seems to really, really like! Although videoing him in it appears to bring on slight vomiting, not sure why!
We now have it at our place and hes happy to just move around in it. He does the occasional bounce that is very cute! We do have a video of it on the computer so if anyone wants to see it, just let us know. The funniest bit is when he smiles and winks at Jessamine! Strange little man that he is.
Oh! And exciting new development. I think he is learning his name as he seems to respond to it. Strangely enough he doesn’t respond to his other names (Mr squiggly pants, fatty, hey you, etc)
So I think thats it. We have a “solids” class in a couple of weeks so there will be exciting food news in the weeks to come as we experiment with actually having to feed him real stuff.
