6 Months!!!

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

Harrison “turned” 6 months old yesterday.
It doesn’t seem that we have had him that long, however the birth is a distant memory (which is a relief). He continues to be an entertaining little man and so lovely. Well, most of the time. I have noticed, that unlike many other babies, he doesn’t go into full on crying when we are out. This is great because nobody likes that!
He is moving into 00 sizing now. He just keeps growing! And he is also having his baths in the real bathtub as he has outgrown his little one. Dylan seems to think that Harrison likes this and there is definately more room for leg stretching.
We went to Claire and Morgans place a week ago and the George “dinosaur” (ie dog) had a nice lick. I’m not sure how Harrison feels about this but as we are going up to Whangarei in a few weeks he may have to get used to it. The Niki “dinosaur” is very friendly.
Grandma bought Harrison an exersaucer which he seems to like. He pushes himself up so he is standing in it, and he eats the toys. But as he eats everything its hard to tell what this means.

New things

Harrison has had his 5 month check and is apparently perfect. His weight and height are in proportion and he has excellent head control (as anyone who has seen him recently could tell you as he is always looking around at things.)
Harrison has also had moments of being able to stay sitting up on his own. Not for very long but it is still a big step above just lying there. He has also learnt to play “peek-a-boo”. He puts a towel, or a toy, or a book, or anything really, over his face and we say “where’s Harrison” and then he pulls off the towel, or other object, and we say “there he is.” This is apparently one of the funniest things ever. Well, Harrison seems to think so. And now, sometimes, he has the towel over his face and “talks” to us. Possibly saying “where’s Harrison?”, we aren’t really sure!
He is also a lot happier, since getting over his tummy bug, and has lots of smiles for everyone.
